These handmade kachinas are two morning singers mounted on a roughly 3" x 3" wooden block. They are handmade and hand-painted by a local artisan.
The "Morning Singer" Kachina represents early morning or dawn because he appears at dawn during the Bean Dance and announces the news. He sings songs to wake the village while passing out bean sprouts for the people to eat.
